How to print a printer test page on Windows 11 and Windows 10
Open a PrintTest.org test page in Chrome, Edge, or Firefox and select Print test page. In the dialog choose the installed printer. Expand More settings, select the matching paper size, choose 100 for scale, and enable Background graphics for color patterns.
To create a local file instead, choose Save as PDF in Chrome or Microsoft Print to PDF as the destination. Saving a PDF preserves the sheet for another computer, but the final printer settings still determine physical size and color output.
How to print a test page on macOS
Choose the test and press Print test page. Select the printer, paper size, portrait orientation, and 100% scale. Safari may label background output as Print backgrounds, while Chrome uses Background graphics. Driver-specific paper type and quality controls may appear under Printer Options.
Use PDF at the bottom of the macOS print panel when you want to save the test page instead. Do not use Scale to fit for the alignment test because it changes the reference ruler and edge margins.

ChromeOS uses the Chrome print preview. Select the printer, paper size, scale 100, and background graphics. On Linux, Chrome or Firefox passes the job to the configured system print service, commonly CUPS, where paper and driver controls may vary.
If the preview clips an edge, verify paper size in both the browser and system driver. Printer hardware commonly has non-printable margins, so a small blank edge can be normal even when the preview fills the sheet.
Printer test page settings that affect the result
Paper type changes ink limits, feed behavior, and color conversion. Draft mode reduces coverage and can resemble a low-ink fault. Borderless printing enlarges content slightly, making it unsuitable for dimensional alignment. Grayscale mode suppresses the intended color channels.
Change one setting at a time and label comparative prints. A browser page is a visual diagnostic, not a calibrated press target. For ICC profiling or manufacturer maintenance, use the appropriate measured workflow and model-specific utilities.
